Quoted / advertised prices do not include VAT, which is charged at the applicable rate.
Prices quoted are for work carried out during our normal working hours (9.00 AM to 5.00 PM Monday to Friday) and include for supply and kerb-side delivery.
Additional positioning and commissioning visits are charged at the standard service rates.
Prices do not include gas commissioning which needs to be carried out by a registered gas engineer.
Prices do not include any site preparation / repair work.
Prices do not include for installation of any site services which is to be carried out by the relevant mechanical or electrical contractors.
Prices do not include the hire of any site access equipment (scissors lift / cherry-picker / scaffolding / etc) which can be provided by the site or can be hired by J.J. Fogarty Ltd. and added to the final invoice.
Prices do not include for additional labourers required to move equipment or bring equipment on-site, unless agreed otherwise in advance.
Prices quoted are for the amount due on completion and do not allow for any form of retention by the purchaser and / or main contractor unless agreed otherwise in writing in advance.
A minimum of 1000mm door opening is required for access with larger equipment. Customers should take care to measure all doorways and access routes paying particular attention to tight corners to ensure equipment will fit into its final position before confirming the order.
Prices quoted for refrigeration equipment will allow for a maximum separation distance (outdoor unit to indoor unit) of 15 (fifteen) metres unless stated otherwise.
Prices do not include for electrical certification of custom-made items / assembled-on-site items / split systems / etc and in situations where such certification is required it must be notified to us in advance so an appropriate adjustment can be made for same on our quotation. In all cases the cost of certification will be the responsibility of the site / end user.
A suitable drain is to be provided by the site within 1 metre of the appliance / unit for all equipment requiring a waste outlet (eg coldroom / fridge / air-con / ice maker / glasswasher / dishwasher / combi oven / etc). It should be noted that on most occasions these drains will need to be at ground level but in some instances these drains may need to be at a higher level and / or be heat resistant.
Quote is valid for a period of 1 (one) month and thereafter will be subject to market fluctuations.
Warranty period is generally 12 (twelve) months on new equipment and 3 (three) months on second-hand equipment, unless stated otherwise.
Some items are sold on a B-2-B (business-to-business) basis and come with a parts-only warranty or no warranty at all.
Warranty does not cover cleaning, descaling or repairing any damage caused by misuse or neglect.
Warranty does not cover light bulbs, door seals, breakable items or glass components.
Warranties will be subject to the terms and conditions of the equipment manufacturers.
Warranties do not cover temperature adjustment or similar on equipment where the adjustment can be done by the owner / user.
Stock clearance items and heavily discounted items are offered and sold on a sold-as-seen basis without a warranty.
We do not provide warranty cover on items which have not been paid for in full.
We are not responsible for consequential loss arising from mechanical breakdown or defect in plant or equipment supplied, installed, maintained, repaired or serviced by us.
Terms are strictly 70% deposit with order, 20% when the first of the equipment arrives on site and the balance on completion, unless agreed otherwise in advance.
The prices quoted are the amounts due on completion and do not allow for any retention amount. If a customer plans on withholding retention we need to be notified of same in advance and the retention amount and term need to agreed in advance of commencement of works. Retention withhold without prior agreement will be treated as an unpaid debt and will result in the withdrawal of after-sales service.
Terms for special order items or custom-made items are payment with order.
Deposits are non refundable.
We accept cash, credit cards and cheques (cheques will have to have cleared before goods are released and this can normally take up to 1 week).
In stock items are generally shipped within 1 - 2 days after receipt of payment.
Shipping fees include handling, packaging and postage costs.
If you require a time delivery an additional cost will be applied so please contact us before choosing this option.
A tracking number is available on request with every courier shipment.
Drop-off will, in most instances, require a signature and customers are requested to check the delivery for damage before signing for it. Please note there is no recourse on unchecked goods. If the goods are damaged this should be noted on the proof of delivery (POD) before signing for it (customers can ask the delivery driver to note the damage on the POD and should check that this has been done).
Damages must be notified to us within 24 hours and should be accompanied by clear photographs of the damage and the goods must be returned to us within 3 days.
A minimum restocking fee of 40% of the item price will be charged on any non-stock item ordered and cancelled by the customer and / or items returned in its original packaging and in as-new condition (please note the fee may be higher depending on the fees applied by the manufacturers / our suppliers).
In the case of the goods being unpacked and unused the return and handling fee is 60%.
If the goods have been opened and used they cannot be returned under any circumstances.
Where items are ordered and the customer has a "change of mind" after the goods have been dispatched the customer will be liable for whatever restocking charge is applied by our suppliers plus the cost of transport from the supplier to us and the cost of the return carriage back to the suppliers plus an administration fee.
Special order / custom made items cannot be cancelled once ordered.
Commissioning will only be completed on compliance with agreed payment terms.
After-sales service will not be available in circumstances where a customer has overdue and / or outstanding debts with us or has not complied with agreed payment terms. This includes, but is not limited to, customers who have withheld a portion or their payment as a retention or similar without our prior agreement.
All equipment remains the property of J.J. Fogarty Ltd. until paid for in full.
Prices do not include for any taps, traps, gas governors, hoses, cables, valves, plug tops, etc or any additional fittings necessary for interconnection and / or to connect to the relevant supply, unless agreed otherwise in writing in advance.
Interest will be charged on all overdue accounts.
CE Certification - the CE mark shows that a product complies with all the relevant directives and regulations in order to be sold on the European market. These directives are mandatory. J.J. Fogarty Ltd is pleased to confirm that all new equipment offered in our quotations are CE marked.
All items quoted comply with HACCP regulations.
Kitchen canopy extraction quotations are for installations using standard spiral (non fire rated) ducting and therefore may not comply with DW172. If fire rated ducting is required customers are required to request a quotation for same in advance of confirming orders.
